The Will of William Fyske of Hallysworth, yeoman, 25 January 1520.

To be buried in Hallysworth churchyard. To the high alter, for tithes forgotten, 12d. To the mother church of Norwich 4d. To my wife Johane the mese [messuage] where I now dwell, with closes called Westfeld and Chankys crosse and meadows called Wysett and Paynys meadows, for life, [she] finding my children and hers till they come to lawful age to be put forth to service and occupation as their mind shall serve them; and after death (a) to William, my son, the mese and Westfeld close and Paynys meadow, with remainder to my son Roberd, and (b) to Roberd, my son, the meadow called Dame Meadow and the close called Chankeys crosse, [he] paying 5 marks within three years to Anne, his sister, with remainder to my son William. My son William is to pay 5 marks to the child my wife is now with. After my wife's decease all such stuff as came to me by my father and mother is to be equally divided among my children. Executors and residuary legatees: my wife Johan and my brother John Fyske. Witnesses: John Fyske, priest, and Robert Halle, priest.

Proved at Halesworth 28 June 1522 by Johan, the widow, power being reserved to John Fyske, the other executor.
