Will of Amos Fiske of Dennington, turner, 4 June 1633

To my son Amos immediately after the decease of my wife Margaret all my copyhold land and tenements held of the manor of Dennington, on condition that he pays the following legacies totalling £80. The payments are to be made in my mansion house where I now dwell in Dennington. £20 to my daughter Frances within 2 years of my beloved wife's death. £20 to my son William within 3 years of my wife's death. £20 to my son John within 4 years of my wife's death and £20 to my daughter Margaret within 5 years of my wife's death. These 4 children have power to distrain. If Amos dies William inherits the land and the other 3 children receive £6 13s. 4d. extra each. To my wife Margaret towards the bringing up of all my children in good nurture and virtuous education and towards the binding forth as apprentices as such of them as shall be fitting, all my ready money, clothes, corn, hay, timber and ware ready turned, and my fat cow. I give to my son Amos all my tools belonging to my trade, my birding piece and my sword and my horse mill with all the implements belonging to it. These items to be delivered to him within 1 month after my decease. All the rest of my goods and chattels I leave to my wife for her life. If she remarries she must bind herself in the sum of 200 marks to my exors. to maintain all my buildings in good repair and not to commit any strip or waste on my land. She must also pay my children £10 each if she remarries. After my wife's death my goods and chattels are to be equally divided amongst my children Frances, William, John and Margaret.
