The Will of ELIAS FISK of Laxfield, yeoman, 2 May 1601.
To my wife Alice my lands and tenements in Laxfield and Stradbroke [Suffolk], free and copyhold, lately purchased of Edmund Jay, until my son Henrie be twenty-four, when he shall entere therein on condition that he pay to my daughter Sara Fiske £5, £5, £5, £5, and £10 at stated times, to my daughter Marie Fiske £5, £5, £5, £5, and £10 at stated times, and to my daughter Margaret Fisk, £10, £10, and £10 at stated times, in the church porch of Laxfield. To my wife Alice my messuage in Laxfield wherein I inhabit and my lands in Laxfield and Stradbroke which late were of my father Richard Fiske, late deceased, with remainder to my son Henry. To my daughters Sara, Marie, and Margaret, and to Johane Cowper, my wife's daughter, to each £5 at twenty. To my son Henry household goods [described] and my horse mill, after the decease of my wife Alice. To my daughters Sara, Marie, and Margaret household goods [described], after the death of my wife Alice. Residuary legatee and executrix: my wife Alice, and she is to bind my son Henrie apprentice to such occupation or trade she thinks well. Witnesses: William Sandcrafte, John Buckenham, William Warner.
