The Will of JAPHERIE FISKE of Metfielde [Suffolk], yeoman, 10 October 1628.

To my son Eliazar Fiske my messuage in Metfield and Withersdale [Suffolk], with lands and freehold there, and he is to pay to my wife Sarah £15 a year, for life, at the south porch of Metfield church, quarterly. To my wife Sarah the parlour at the west end of said house, for life, and six loads of firewood from Eliazar's lands. To my wife Sarah all my moveables, for life, and after her death one-half [of the same] to my son-in-law John Sawer. To my son Eliazar a table in the parlour. To my "bedchild" [? belchild, or godchild] John Sawer 20s. To my other "bedchild" Thomas Sawer 10s. To the poor of Metfield 20s. Executrix: my wife Sara. Witnesses: Stephen Lyllie, John Sawer, and Sarah [altered from Mary] Fiske, widow.
