The Will of JOHN FYSKE of Tyvetshall St. Marie, yeoman, sick in body, 1 October 1607.

To be buried there or elsewhere. To Thomasyn, my wife, my messuage [and] lands in Tivetshall and Dicleburgh [Dickleburgh, Norfolk] (she to claim no dower), for her life or widowhood. If she remarry, then she is to have one-third only. If she makes claim for dower in my lands at Occolt [Occold], Thornden [Thorndon, Suffolk], or places near, then she is to forego the Tivetshall lands. To John Punchard the Younger my sister's son, said property in Occolt and Thorndon, charged with £40 to his sister Margaret Punchard (by £10 a year). And to Jeremy Punchard, his brother, £30 (£10 a year). And to Mary Punchard, his other sister, £30 (£10 a year). To John Punchard aforesaid all my tools of a wheelwright and my joiner's tools. To John Bucknam [or Buckman - faded], my servant, 40s. To John Cobbrame [sic], my godson, 40s. To Richard Goothrame, my godson, 40s. To John Watlinge, my godson, 30s. at twenty-one. To John Dowson, my kinsman and godson, £3 when twenty. To Marie Cole, my goddaughter, 40s. at twenty-one. To Margerye Woodward, my goddaughter, 20s. when twenty. To Margaret Chapman, my goddaughter, 20s. To Fraunces Alpe, my nephew and godson, £30 at twenty-two. To Thomas Seaman 30s. To Edward Hickes, my godson, 20s., when twenty. To ? Fisher, my kinsman and godson, 30s., when twenty-one. To Marie Alpe and Anne Alpe, my sister's daughters, my bond wherein Nicholas Haward of Darsham [Suffolk], William Haward of the same and Jeffery Neve of Tivetshall St. Margaret [Norfolk] are bound to me in £20, [but] they are to take only the £10 debt and not the forfeiture. To Edward Alpe, my nephew, £5. To John Punchard the Elder of Beddingfield [Bedingfield, Suffolk], my brother[-in-]law, 40s. To Christopher Mercant of Tyvetshall St. Marie 40s. To the poor of Tivetshall St. Mary 30s. (10s. a year). If Thomasyn, my wife, enter bond in £80 [?, faded] to John Punchard the Elder of Bedingfield, to prove this will, pay legacies, etc., then she is to have all my goods, chattels, etc. Sole executrix: said Thomasyne, my wife. Witnesses: Paule Chapman, Edward Bateman.
