I should add -- they are the grandparents of James Liberty , Robert Emmett, John H.,
Van Hayden, Daniel Webster, Andrew Jackson Fisk. Took wagon trains to Montana,
Idaho etc. I have the Fisk Family Papers but I can't make the important connection between James Byron and the Faxfield Fiske's. Can anyone help? Thanks !!!

I have recently come across my paternal family tree compiled by my dad's sister. It goes as far back as Charles and Eliza Fiske, parents of Charles Thomas Fiske b1808 and documented as a mariner in Barbados. He was married to a Mary Ann Greenland in Middlesex. Their son Charles Thomas Fiske (boiler maker) appears to have been married to an Esther Young. I think his second wife was Clara Buttworth daughter of Charles Butterworth who was a tailor. It seems Charles Thomas was born in Mile End so I doubt Charles found his wives in Barbados. I have only very limited genealogy at my disposal so will be thrilled to hear more from everyone!

Hello and Season's Greetings. My 17th great-grandfather was Lord Symond Fiske, born 1399 in Laxfield, England. I found your website while doing research on Lord Fiske, and would like to be added for future visits. Thank you.

How good to hear from a descendant of James Nichols. I have an extensive card indexof all the Nichols I have come across in Suffolk - my own family included. Perhaps we can make contact and converse further via e-mail? My personal e-mail is liongam@supanet.com. I look forward ot hearing from you soon.

Thanks for filling that gap Ian. Thinking about it I guess that out of all the Fisk[e]s who have contacted me through the site we must be about the closest related? I know there was a rift a number of years ago but I don't know what it was all about.
